More Thorny Creeky Buttey Visits

On the first day of June this year I took the pickup and crawled up to the top to check on the lookout again. I drove up from Idaho City on FR 203 mostly. During the Memorial Day weekend my brother and I ran into deep snow that prevented us reaching the top from the Cottonwood side, but on this day the entire road was snow-free.

Pickup at Thorn Creek Butte Lookout

I walked up and around the lookout checking out the surroundings. From here I spotted Danskin Peak, the back of Shafer and Bogus, Trinity Peak, Pilot Peak, Sunset mtn and some others.

Then! Just one week later I found myself up there again, this time on my K-47.
